MALINSKA – in the municipality of Malinska-Dubašnica, tourism and tourist tradition are over 100 years old and date from the 19th century. Over the past century, Malinska profiled as a tourist destination with a rich tourist offer. One of the main draws of Malinska, which has always attracted visitors, is definitely its location in a peaceful bay, rich with vegetation, with all the possibilities to develop year-round tourism. Along with four-star and three-star hotels, and a large number of quality facilities in private accommodation there are many restaurant facilities with a rich gastronomic offer of food and drinks.
In Porat, near Malinska, there is a Franciscan monastery which was built in 1480. There is also the Frankopans' church of St. Mary Magdalene, which is near to where the monastery of the Glagolitic friars was built. Today, in the monastery you can find a museum with a rich sacral collection, an old olive mill and lots of utility objects from this region. In the monastery atrium you can find the copies of Glagolitic monuments, works of Dr. Branko Fučić.
